Vendor Management Systems Will Play a Greater Role in the Coming Talent Transformation and “Age of Innovation” According to the 2016 Ardent Partners/DCR Study

Boca Raton, FL – March 30, 2016 – A new study “Contingent Workforce Management: 2016 Technology and Innovation” from Ardent Partners and underwritten in part by DCR Workforce (“DCR”), a leader in VMS technology and innovation, states that the Vendor Management System (VMS) technology is and will continue to be the “heart” of an ecosystem destined to transform talent management as we enter the age of innovation.

Ardent Partners proclaims, “…in 2016, the amalgamation of talent sources, the increasing demand for them, the more advanced strategies required to manage those sources and the technology solutions and platforms to support contingent workforce management (“CWM”) programs has pushed the industry into the age of innovation.”

In 2015, approximately 35 percent of the world’s total workforce was comprised of contingent labor, and that number is expected to reach 50 percent by 2020. As industries require more talent “on-demand,” the need for greater technology increases to help supply and manage that demand. According to the study, approximately 60 percent of businesses know they need to integrate their VMS, spend solution and HRIS, yet a full 44 percent said they lacked the tools, skills and resources to put a plan into place.

“We see this dichotomy all the time,” says Naveen Dua, CEO, DCR. “There are solutions, services and ecosystems that are innovating monthly, even weekly. At DCR, we call it ‘innovation as usual’ – meaning our VMS is constantly evolving. So from an outside perspective, it may be difficult to keep up with the rapid changes and know how it all fits together. Yet it’s becoming more imperative to do so to compete in today’s economy.”
